Ken Turner

Turner will be graduating from the MFA programme at Goldsmiths, University of London in Autumn 2026, where his recent research has focused on 20th-century abstraction. Over the past four years, his own practice has centred on abstract painting, following earlier work in mixed media.

He completed a BA (Hon’s) in Critical Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in the 1990s, where he also completed an MA in Contemporary Photography: Practices and Philosophies in 2021.

In 2019, he founded Tension, an artist-run gallery space in South East London, where he continues to serve as director and curator

Turner was short listed for the Clifford Chance Post Graduate Printmaking In London 2021 a survey exhibition and for the Cass Art Prize at Central Saint Martins 2021.
